Marks & Spencer Autumn Winter 2015 Launch

The Challenge

To present the new season M&S Autumn Winter 15 collection of clothing, footwear and accessories to Irish fashion media, bloggers, stylists and key opinion formers.

Our Response

A photocall was held on the morning of the event within the grounds of the Royal Hospital to showcase hero items from the collection.

Fashion media were invited to a preview of the collection ahead of the show, with Marks & Spencer Style Director Belinda Earl taking them through the season’s key looks.

A catwalk show was hosted in the luxurious surroundings of the Royal Hospital Kilmainham that evening showcasing the key seasonal trends with over 200 influential guests in attendance.

In a first for M&S Ireland, stylist and social media expert, Corina Gaffey, was recruited to live stream the AW15 show on Periscope. Corina took charge of broadcasting the entire show, along with backstage previews to her followers bringing the show to life through real time video.

The Results

The event resulted in extensive coverage across print, broadcast and online media including the Irish Independent Weekend, Irish Examiner, Irish Daily Mail, Sunday Business Post Magazine, Evening Echo, Irish Daily Star, and fashion segments on TV3’s Xposé and RTE’s Today Show.

Strong visual presence of the hashtag on the night of the show encouraged all guests to tag their posts across social media channels. There was strong social engagement with #AW15mandsie trending on the night.
