Our Public Affairs practice have been working with Kosmos Energy, a leading US-based international oil and gas exploration company in the development and implementation of a stakeholder engagement and reputation management strategy with key political, regulatory and policy making audiences at both a national and local level.
Our work with the team at Kosmos Energy follows their securing of majority interests in three licensing options in the Porcupine Basin off the west coast of Ireland. As part of this activity, Kosmos recently completed the largest 3-D seismic survey carried out in Irish waters covering over 5,000 km2, using the Polarcus Amani, a state-of-the-art seismic and maritime survey vessel.
Our Public Affairs team developed a targeted corporate communications and stakeholder engagement programme, which resulted in the attendance of Minister of State at the Department of Communications, Energy & Natural Resources, Fergus O’Dowd, TD to tour this unique vessel at Ringaskiddy Port, and to be briefed on the technology and processes involved in collating this work. In addition, we managed all media relations activity as well as engaging with key political and stakeholder audiences at a local level.
This is part of on-going activity for Kosmos Energy with a core objective to underline their commitment to Ireland, both in terms of exploration and engagement with key audiences and communities at a national and regional level.
