Specsavers staff to cycle around Ireland to raise €100,000 for Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital, Crumlin

MODEL Aoife Cogan recently teamed up with Specsavers Ireland to announce the opticians’ commitment to raise €100,000 towards Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital, Crumlin’s new ophthalmology unit.
Specsavers has selected the hospital as its national charity of the year, and to kick off the partnership, stores nationwide have committed to cycling the circumference of Ireland (5,600kms). With Specsavers aiming to raise €100,000 over the coming months, each of the 47 Specsavers stores will be quite literally putting their wheels in motion on Saturday 7 June, as they hold static cycles in-store to raise funds. Customers are invited to drop in to their local store on the day and show their support as each team aims to complete their 120km section. For further information visit www.olchc.ie and for updates on Specsavers fundraising and upcoming events, become a fan on www.facebook.com/specsaversireland.
