Mary Finan, one of the founding partners and a former Managing Director and Chairman of Wilson Hartnell was presented with a Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2015 IMAGE Businesswoman of the Year Awards ceremony, which took place on Monday, November 2 at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel.
Mary has spent her celebrated and extensive career working in communications. She is the former chair of the RTE Authority and one of the founding partners at WH, subsequently serving as managing director until 2003 and as chairman from 2003 to 2007. She became the first female President of the Dublin Chamber of Commerce in 1996 and currently serves as an independent non-executive director of a number of financial services companies. She was awarded an honorary Doctor of Law Degree by the National University of Ireland in 2011. In 2012, Mary spent a year in Harvard, where she successfully completed its Advanced Leadership Fellowship Programme.
